Key Achievements:
Regeneration
During the initial stages of the renovation, the asbestos panels cladding the external walls and roof were removed by a specialist. The building was stripped back to the RC concrete and steel structure and internal reconfigurations improved the layout and flow of the building.
The recladding of the walls and roof with insulated sandwich panels along with large windows provide a clean modern facade and internally a spacious and light working atmosphere. Twin roller shutters were also installed at the front to allow for easy loading and unloading and provide an element of symmetry.
In doing this we have created an attractive and welcoming addition to an area in replacement of an ugly duckling.
Rental opportunity
This property will not only support our current needs but will also provide much needed office space and attract new businesses to the area. The office areas and common parts have been designed to provide a comfortable and vibrant environment in order to promote creativity and collaboration. The building is generating additional revenue from rental income.
Recognition
The Chairman of KIPPA (the organisation which co-ordinates security and crime prevention on the Industrial Park) commended Kisiel Group for transforming a derelict building that had been standing empty for over 20 years into one of the best properties on the Industrial Park.
