Raynes Park was our first development and our first new build. In 2010 we bought an end-of-terrace house in Raynes Park, South West London, with spare land to the side.
We won planning for two things: a rear extension and loft conversion to the existing house, and a new three-storey, four-bedroom end-of-terrace house on the side land.
Two four-bedroom family houses where there had been one. We have kept both as income-producing investments.
The scheme was self-funded. The value it created was refinanced to fund our next scheme, three five-bedroom houses on Coombe Lane, SW20. Small, well-planned sites like this one are still the kind of land we look for.
