As released today by the NFB (National Federation of Builders), Kisiel Group have been shortlisted for the category ‘Refurbishment Project of the Year’. We are one of two finalists for this Award, the winner of which will be announced at the Awards Ceremony to be held at The Belfry Hotel and Resort in Sutton Coldfield on 27 March 2018.Our entry was for the renovation of a residential property within a Conservation Area in West London which has been designated ‘an area of special architectural or historic interest the character of which is desirable to preserve or enhance’.The house was not in a good state of repair and we achieved a sympathetic renovation, restoring the front facade and porch entrance to its original state, carefully matching it to the original porch on the adjoining property. Where period features had been removed, such as the tiled flooring in the hallway, we re-instated them. This was achieved by utilising the skills of specialists within our team.
Richard Beresford, Chief Executive of the NFB, has commented that “We received so many quality entries this year that the process of creating a shortlist has been tough and involved much deliberation. Our panel of expert adjudicators selected entries from companies that demonstrated exceptional skill and the employment of robust business processes to really stand out from the crowd.”
We are looking forward to joining everyone at the Awards Ceremony to celebrate excellence within construction with all the other finalists.
