February Charity Challenge

Annie Summun, our Director, has taken on a challenge to raise money during February to support the Lighthouse Club, a charity supporting the mental health and wellbeing of construction workers and their families. She is swapping her construction boots for a pair of walking boots. Although she is really a reluctant fair-weather walker, a fellow Master Builder has inspired her to walk 100 km during February.

Annie explains “As getting out for a daily walk is good for your mental health, I thought it would be good to raise some money at the same time for the Lighthouse Club who support fellow construction workers.”

The Lighthouse Club runs a free, 24/7 helpline for any construction worker who needs support. It costs approximately £12 an hour to maintain, so Annie set a target of £290, the cost of running the helpline for 24 hours.
